Retail brokerage giant TD Ameritrade and high-frequency trading firm Virtu Financial have invested in a cryptocurrency exchange. (Reuters) - Retail brokerage TD Ameritrade Holding Corp said on Wednesday it has invested in a new cryptocurrency exchange called ErisX in a bid to offer clients digital asset investment options beyond the popular bitcoin. TD Ameritrade clients can already trade bitcoin futures over the CBOE Futures Exchange. According to Crunchbase, ErisX has raised a total of $ million from a bunch of well-known investors, including TD Ameritrade, CME Ventures.
